Monica Lagercrantz is the founder of the boutique advisory firm Lagercrantz Associates. Monica is the co-founder of the proprietary tool Fact Based Board Assessment and a Partner of CMi, Chairman Mentors International.

Lagercrantz Associates is one of the leading executive and board search firms in the Nordic region. The firm has offices in Stockholm and Palo Alto and clients include international and Nordic companies.

Monica has over 20 years of international executive search experience with focus on C-suite, board of directors and other key positions in the Nordic and international markets. Her work encompasses a variety of sectors such as financial services, real estate, technology, life sciences, telecoms and consumer. Over the past few years, Monica has helped many fast growing companies or companies in the need of change based on new structures or technologies.  

Monica has a particular expertise in creating partnerships with companies with active major shareholders and is a well-known advisor to private equity. 

Between 2003 and 2012 Monica Lagercrantz was a Managing Director at Russell Reynolds Associates and set up the firm’s activities in Sweden.
Prior to this, Monica was the Managing Partner at Heidrick & Struggles in Sweden. She has previously worked as a lawyer.

Monica received her M.Sc. in Business Law from Gothenburg School of Economics, University of Gothenburg and her LL.M. from Stockholm University.

Johan Mathson has 25+ years of experience of helping clients achieving operational excellence in board work, executive team strategy development, accelerated strategy implementation and executive coaching.

He was the Managing Partner at Mercuri International East and Central Europe as well as Director Business Development for Mercuri International Group.
In 2012, Johan Mathson launched the board assessment concept Fact Based Board Assessment together with Monica Lagercrantz.

Over the years Johan has led and executed assignments in more than 30 geographical markets for corporate clients with a market leading position and has a collective experience of board consulting / assessment with 100+ companies.

He has been a board member and chairman in a number of listed and private companies.

Johan received his MBA from Stockholm School of Economics.

Erika Magnus has, after 18 years abroad, in-depth knowledge in the manufacturing, telecom, retail and health sectors, and has gained thorough operational business exposure of global business strategy, finance, investor relations and business controlling. 

She started her career at the Volvo Group in 1991 and was later Head of AB Volvos Investor Relations North America during the hectic time of acquisitions after the sale of Volvo Cars to Ford. 

At the SingTel Group based in Sydney, Erika Magnus was leading a team managing the information flow; group performance and strategy aimed at the global investment community. During this time, SingTel successfully capitalised on growth and consolidation of a capital intense and technology driven industry in the period of its early deregulation.  

Erika is also managing partner in a consultancy firm in Stockholm, covering areas of strategy, and organisational and leadership development including executive coaching.

Erika holds a M.Sc. in Coaching Psychology from Sydney University and a B.Sc. in Business Administration and Economics from Gothenburg School of Economics.

Malin Lombardi has a special focus on board level assignments and board assessment mandates.

She has a thorough insight into the legal framework for board work and other relevant policies and guidelines.

Between 2006 and 2015, Malin Lombardi was a senior business lawyer with Roschier Attorneys in Stockholm, providing advice to boards, shareholders and senior management in corporate governance matters. She spent the bulk of her law practice career handling delicate matters relating to M&A and securities law, with a focus on public tender offers, private M&A, transaction structures and advice on insider rules. 

During her career, Malin has conducted extensive pro bono work. She also has experience from Deutsche Bank's London Branch (Nordic M&A, 2012) and DeLaval (Legal Affairs, 2013-2014).

Malin is of Finnish-Swedish nationality and received her LL.M. from Lund University.

Henrietta Palmcrantz is based in Palo Alto/San Francisco, US, focusing on cross-border searches for Europe/the US. Lagercrantz Associates is one of the leading executive and board search firms in the Nordic region. The firm has offices in Stockholm and Palo Alto and clients include international and Nordic companies.

Henrietta has broad sector knowledge and a search portfolio spanning from private equity and financial services, to real estate, technology, manufacturing and life sciences sectors. She has a particular experience of recruiting investment professionals to private equity. She has managed a number of search assignments for Chairs and Non-Executive Directors in public and private companies in the Nordic region. 

Henrietta started her career with one of the global executive search firms, and has a background as a researcher specializing in supply chain and logistics.

Henrietta studied Human Resource Management at Stockholm University.

Charlotte Holst has more than 20 years experience from corporate Human Resource positions and from entrepreneurship, after ten years of running her own business in the leisure industry.

Her professional career in Human Resources includes Johnson & Johnson, Sydney, Australia, and Scandinavian Airlines, where she worked both in strategic and operational positions. Charlotte was part of the team launching the Swedish school in Thailand, where she lived for a longer period.

Charlotte received her B.Sc. in Human Resource Management from Stockholm University and holds a Master Certificate in NLP Coaching.

Olof Gertz has 20+ years of international experience of leadership and assessment programs with focus on senior management. He has led Human Resource teams in public and private companies such as DeLaval, Alfa Laval Agri, Vattenfall, ATG and BP and has a track record of implementing strong business orientation in organizations.   

Olof is specialized in fact based assessments directed towards securing talent, as well as hiring and development of senior executives. With experience from 900+ individual assessments world wide, he has an in-depth knowledge and experience of succession planning and management recruiting.

Kajsa Fung lived and worked in Hong Kong during 1984-2002 and maintains a close relationship with the region. She has extensive professional experience from international business environments and as a registered translator at the Supreme Court of Hong Kong.

Today, Kajsa Fung is associated with a Hong Kong strategic advisory company known for its extensive business and social networks in Asia. During 2007–2012 she was appointed by InvestHK, the Hong Kong Government’s foreign direct investment promotion agency, as their Nordic representative. 

Kajsa is a Board member of Sweden China Trade Council, the most important business network in Sweden with regards to the Chinese market. 

Kajsa is a law graduate from the University of Gothenburg and received her LL.M. in Chinese and Comparative Law from City University of Hong Kong.

His professional experience includes SEB, Holje Trading and Koncept Stockholm.

Prior to joining Lagercrantz Associates, Harald worked as CFO for three years at Keyflow, a start-up digitalizing the analogue relationship between event operators and guests. Services include an e-commerce platform, a business system and connected mobile applications.

Harald received his B.Sc. in Business and Economics from Uppsala University.

Isabella Kalborg joined Lagercrantz Associates in the beginning of 2018, as part of the firm’s executive search team.

Her professional experience includes project management and administration in a start-up environment at The Cords & Co, as well as internships with Air Val International in Barcelona and Monocle Media in London.

Isabella graduated from Copenhagen Business School in 2017, with a B.Sc. in Business Administration and Sociology. During an exchange year, she studied at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) In Herzliya, Israel.
